Did you know that there are some great off-property choices within walking distance to Disneyland Resort? Let’s discuss three reasons why you should stay at the Westin Anaheim Resort.
This award winning AAA Four-Diamond luxury hotel is located across from the Disneyland Resort. With beautiful rooms, plenty of opportunities to both keep up your wellness goals and relax, and ways to make the most of your Disneyland vacation, this hotel is a great option for your next trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
A Room with a View
Westin hotels around the world are known for their comfortable beds, and this hotel is no exception. Can you imagine anything better after a long day of exploring a theme park than a bed that feels like a cloud? The rooms are clean, modern and decorated in muted colors- unless your room includes a view of colorful Pixar Pier!
There are a variety of room types, including suites, studios or standard guest rooms with one king or two queen beds. You can choose a park view, deluxe view (pool or garden views) or standard view (buildings or parking lots). Rooms may be connected to sleep up to 8 guests upon request, but cannot be guaranteed. Standard Room rates range from $315 to $390 per night.
The bathrooms offer a spa-like experience, with a large soaking tub, comfortable robes and space for everyone to get ready for the day.
The Westin welcomes vacationing families and adults, as well as business travelers. The Westin is a peaceful respite from the parks, without sacrificing any of the convenience. You won’t find bunk beds, water slides or primary colored art work like you might at other resorts in the area. With the Anaheim Convention Center next door, you are also more likely to run into business travelers.
A Quick Trip to the Parks
The Westin Anaheim Resort offers easy access to the magic. The Westin is about an 8 minute walk to the Disneyland theme parks and Downtown Disney. This gives you convenient access to shopping, dining and entertainment, even if you don’t have plans to visit the parks each day.
If you need some last minute assistance with your Disneyland park tickets, you can visit the Disneyland desk in the hotel lobby. They can help with park reservations, ticket questions and help navigating the parks.
You can also purchase an Anaheim Regional Transportation bus pass. There is an ART stop just outside the hotel entrance.
The Westin is one of Disneyland’s Good Neighbor Resorts, which means that it meets or exceeds Disney’s high standards for quality, value, and proximity to the Disneyland Resort. These hotels can be part of a Disneyland vacation package, which comes with extra benefits.
Plenty to See and Do at Your Hotel
Although you may be in Anaheim for the theme parks, you will find a few great reasons to stay back at the Westin Anaheim!
Places to Relax
The Westin Anaheim Resort is inspired by the modern orchard garden, which you will notice in the beautiful lobby and organic colors. Above the bar, you will find a custom wood laser carved ceiling made to resemble the branches of a tree. Art throughout the resort is made from materials found in nature such as wood and paper, and guests are encouraged to get up close. Go ahead, you can touch that painting!
You’ll find a peaceful retreat at the Bella Pool. There are cabanas (a mix of rentals and first come, first served), blissful shade and a poolside bar.
Places to Dine
There are several dining options, whether you want to grab a quick bite or enjoy fine dining. The Blossom Market is your spot for grab and go bakery items, healthy lunches, smoothies and coffee. Dine poolside at Bella’s Splash Pool Bar, enjoy authentic Mexican food at Puesto or casual Californian in the Tangerine Room. You will find top-notch steaks and award winning wines at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar.
The Westin Club is one of the hotel’s highlights. It would be easy to grab a quick breakfast, a cup of coffee from their espresso machine and a few bottles of water before hitting the parks. The Westin Club patio has theme park views, and places to sit and take it all in. Guests can book a room that includes club access, or they can add it to their stay. Guests can also add a club pass just for the day, in order to enjoy those fireworks views. The club is open from 6:30am to 10pm.
If you want to see some beautiful views without the club amenities, check out RISE Rooftop Lounge. This patio bar and casual dining spot has plenty of comfortable spots to enjoy a cocktail, order a little something to eat, enjoy live music and watch the fireworks over Disneyland Resort. The menu features tapas-style shareable plates and handcrafted cocktails. RISE is open to the public, so you may want to include this in your plans regardless of where you are staying!
Places to Work on your Wellness
In order to provide opportunities for wellness, you will find a state-of-the art fitness center. Peloton bikes, TRX training equipment, weight machines, free weights and cardiovascular equipment are available 24 hours a day in a bright and modern space.
If eligible, Marriott Bonvoy members can enjoy their perks and upgrades. Be sure to share your loyalty information at check-in.
