Disneyland Resort is known for their impeccable guest service and making sure their guests are comfortable during their visit. Did you know that they offer a quiet spot for nursing mothers, a place to keep your little escape artist safe when they stray from your side, stroller, wheelchair, and scooter rentals for your park days, as well as places to refill your water bottles? These are just some of the many services that are available to you when visiting Disneyland Resort.
Baby Care Center
Welcome to your little home away from home! These sweet and peaceful locations are tucked away from the theme park chaos – one in Disneyland and one in California Adventure. You will find everything you need for your little travelers here, just steps away from all of the fun. Grown-ups will find privacy and comfortable chairs to nurse and feed their little ones. The Cast Members here are very strict on making sure the privacy of their visitors is taken seriously and won’t even allow the area to be photographed when occupied. We love this!
Need help with mealtime? You will find highchairs, a microwave, sink, and bottle warmers ready to go for you! While changing tables are available in most Disneyland Resort restrooms, a more home-like atmosphere is available in the Baby Care Center and each changing table is thoroughly cleaned in between each guest. Baby supplies are available for purchase in a well-stocked vending machine! You can expect to find formula, baby food, diapers, wipes, sunscreen, pacifiers, and more, that you may need in a pinch! This space is designed to be quiet, relaxing, and peaceful – a nice escape for families during a busy park day.
Lost Children Center
Did your little Mousekeeter stray from your side? Not to worry! Also located in the Baby Care Center you will find the Lost Children space. Security personnel and Cast Members will ensure your little one is safe until you are reunited. They will be distracted with table-top toys, coloring activities, and maybe a cartoon or two while they are waiting for you.
Water Bottle Filling Stations
Staying hydrated is one of the easiest ways to avoid a trip to those First Aid stations! Disneyland Resort offers many opportunities for you to fill your own water bottle throughout both of the theme parks. Water bottle filling locations are identified in the Disneyland app – they are never more than a few minutes away. In fact, at the time of this blog, there were 15 locations throughout the Disneyland Resort where you could refill your water bottle at no cost.
Stroller, Wheelchair, and ECV Rentals
A park necessity for sure, you can find strollers, both single and double, wheelchairs, and ECVs available to rent. There is one location for this – just outside of the Disneyland Park Main Entrance. You will be able to bring your “vehicle” of choice with you to Disneyland, Disney California Adventure Park, and Downtown Disney. Please note that while they do have many available, they can sell out later in the day so it’s always good to rent first thing in the morning.
Taking a mid-day break? No problem! Just return your stroller, wheelchair, or ECV when you are leaving. When you return, show your receipt to the Cast Members and you can continue your rental at no additional cost.
Even if your do not use a mobility aid such as a stroller, wheelchair, or ECV while at home, you might consider a rental during a physically-demanding theme park trip. For example, your 7 year old might no longer use a stroller at home; but walking several miles a day might be too much for them. Or if you have a mobility issue at home, having a scooter or wheelchair might keep you more comfortable over period of many days of being on your feet – especially since most areas are accessible.
Stroller Rental Tip!
You can imagine that there are many identical strollers scattered throughout the theme parks. We suggest attaching something to your stroller to make it stand out from the crowd. A simple colorful scarf or bandana will do the trick! Some families use custom signs, custom decorations, and even Christmas lights!
If you are looking for a rental that you can bring with you back to your Disneyland Resort hotel, let your Travel Agent know and we can secure one for you from our trusted suppliers! These rentals can be dropped off directly at your resort and can be left at your resort at the conclusion of your trip.
First Aid Stations
Did you know that Disney has nurses available during park hours to help with bumps, bruises, and more? Did your little one lose a tooth while you were in the middle of the magic? The caring staff here at the First Aid Station can help! They will assist with bandaids, icepacks, or even storage of your medication that requires refrigeration. Over-the-counter medication is available here as well. Their job is to get you back to the fun as quickly as possible! Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park each have their own First Aid Station.
Guest Relations
Have an issue or concern that doesn’t fall into one of these categories, chances are, Disneyland has thought of that, too! Guest Relations has several locations at Disneyland Resort, for all of your needs. The Cast Members here are trained to assist with dining, resort, theme park, and tour reservations. This would be the location to visit if you have questions regarding the Disability Access Service program. You can find guidemaps in different langagues as well as Attraction Translation Devices if needed.
Make sure to pop in for a free souvenir! If you’re celebrating a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, or first visit, you can pick up celebration button! These buttons are complimentary and can add a touch of magic to your visit. They also make for a great photo prop to remember your trip!
