Downtown Disney is starts near Disneyland Hotel, stretches past Disney’s Grand Californian Resort, and ends right at the plaza between the two theme parks: Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure. The district is pedestrian-friendly, with a central promenade lined with shops and restaurants.
Staying On Property
For guests staying on property, there are two entrances: one on the western side, near Disneyland Hotel and the monorail stop. There is a security checkpoint here, so be prepared to have your bags inspected on the way in. Guests are also required to walk through a metal detector. More towards the center of Downtown Disney, you will find the entrance that comes directly from the back of Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. Again there is a security checkpoint with bag inspection and metal detectors.
