Located on Main Street, U.S.A., the Plaza Inn is a restaurant that is original to Disneyland’s opening in 1955. Originally named The Red Wagon Inn, it was one of Walt’s favorite places to dine. Today, the Plaza Inn is themed with nostalgic Victorian decor and is well known for its famous fried chicken.
The Plaza Inn has indoor seating as well as an outdoor patio option. It is open daily for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
The Plaza Inn also offers a character breakfast called, Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park, and although not included in The Magic Happens Parade Dining Package, it’s the only character dining located within the theme park.
When dining for lunch and dinner, The Plaza Inn offers many choices to choose from, such as their famous Fried Chicken, Pot Roast, and Salmon. Their menu also has children’s options like Chicken Tenders and Penne Pasta.
Parade Viewing Dining Package
To enjoy the Plaza Inn Dining Package, reserve a time between 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM to dine at Plaza Inn Restaurant. You will receive a return voucher which will allow you to return to the designated viewing area. Each member of your party will require a voucher to have access to the viewing area.
With your voucher you will enjoy the parade in style in a separate area. You’ll have an unobstructed view of the Magic Happens Parade.
The viewing area does not include seating, so please be advised that you will be standing during the parade. Advance reservations for the Plaza Inn Dining Package are highly recommended and can be made on the Disneyland app or the Disneyland website. Be sure to ask your travel agent for tips on securing your advanced reservations. Same-day reservations for dining packages are based on availability and can be made at the location. Please note that the dining package may not be available every day. Specialty ticketed events may interfere with the package being offered.
The Meal
The Plaza Inn Dining Package meal for adults includes Short Rib and Fried Chicken with pesto mashed potatoes, a seasonal vegetable and a dessert. You also have the option of one fountain beverage or water. The kid’s package includes chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and a dessert. Drink choices are water or milk. Plant-based options are also available for those with dietary preferences. Please let your server know if you have any food allergies or dietary concerns.
Package Pricing
The Plaza Inn Dining Package costs $55 for adults and $28 for children aged 3 to 9. Gratuity is not necessary, and taxes are not included in the price. This dining experience offers an excellent value to enhance your park day. Please note that theme park admission and reservations are required, which are not covered by the dining package costs. Park reservations are limited, subject to availability, and not guaranteed.
The Magic Happens Parade

The Magic Happens parade is truly one of the best parades you’ll see at Disneyland. You will be singing and dancing along with Moana, Anna, Elsa, and even Arthur and the Sorcerer! The floats, costumes, and music are not to be missed. You just might end up singing the soundtrack for the rest of the day. One of my favorite lyrics in the parade “It’s just a little faith and trust, and with a little pixie dust, your wildest dreams can be yours” captures the essence of this parade perfectly.
