You’re going to Walt Disney World!! You have your resort reserved, tickets purchased, dining reservations made and parks picked! Now you have to decide what to wear! Do you pick fashion over comfort or can you have the best of both worlds for that perfect castle picture!?
There are so many amazing Disney outfits out there so where do you even start to get ideas that work best for your trip. I am the person that plans outfit ideas out even before the trip is booked. I base most of our attire options on two things:
- What park or parks are we going to that day?
- Where are we eating that day- will we see a special character?

Magic Kingdom Outfits
Magic Kingdom is the iconic park where that perfect castle picture can be taken! It also has some of the most infamous attractions such as Space Mountain, Peter Pan, and It’s a Small World. So many families and groups have their memorable pictures taken throughout the park in matching shirts or other creative outfits.
Ideas to think about when planning your outfits for Magic Kingdom can include:
- Traditional Mickey and Minnie attire
- Castle silhouettes
- Walt and Mickey
- Classic characters such as Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto
- Princess dresses
- Shirts based on specific attractions for this park- “The mountains are calling me and I must go”

EPCOT is known for its innovative and futuristic attractions plus it’s World Showcase. It is like getting 2 parks in one! One of the best aspects of Epcot is the incredible amount and variety of food choices it offers not only year round, but especially during each of its festivals.

Disney Outfit Planning for Beyond the Parks
Dining Reservation Outfit Ideas
Have that special character meal or themed restaurant planned for your next trip? Look your best for the occasion! Some of the most precious moments we have experienced are character interactions based on matching clothing or themed outfits! If having that meal with Mickey and friends, get your family to wear a shirt representing each character that will be present at the meal! Have a princess breakfast or dinner- make sure your little princess or prince is dressed for the occasion in proper royalty wear! Attending the luau at the Polynesian Resort- an Hawaiian shirt or dress will make you feel like you escaped for the Pacific!

Don’t forget about special occasions such as birthdays, honeymoons, and holidays that you can be creative with for all your shirts and outfits.
