Resort: Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
Date of Visit: June 2007
Agent Name: Ric Flack
Review: When we decided to stay at Saratoga Springs I wasn’t overly exited about the resort. To me, it just lacked the ambiance that I have found at other Disney World Resots….Boy was I WRONG! This resort had ambiance galore. We had a two bedroom Villa in the Springs area just across the street from the main pool called “High Rock Springs”. If you aren’t familar with the Vacation Club Resorts, a two bedroom sleeps 8 people in two bedrooms, one with a King bed and the other with two Queens and a sofa sleeper in the living room. The Villa also has two bathrooms, a full kitchen and a dining area. There is also a washer and dryer in the room.
When we were outside we could hear the horns announcing the start of the “horse races” and feel the excitement in the air of being in this great old “horse racing town”. We took advantage of the pool on several afternoons and there were activities at the pool. You could play Bingo, kids had group activities and there were other activities.
Bus transportation was efficient with busses coming about every 15 minutes for each of the four theme parks. You could take a boat to Downtown Disney or a short walk as well.
°o° Magic for Less Travel Tips: Check out the activity guide for a list of all the goings on at this resort. The bus stop order is: 1.The Grandstand, 2. The Carousel, 3. The Paddock, 4. Congress Park and then 5. The Springs. If you are in one of the areas away from the main building, jump on any bus and get off at the Springs to save you from having to walk. There are quite a few grocery items available in the shop at this resort.
