How are the Gift Cards discounted?

At some retailers, your membership may offer you a 3-5% discount on the gift cards, so you’d pay $95 for $100 or $4,500 for $5,000.  You can see how those savings easily add up.  Some of these locations also offer specials where the discount is up to 10% of $20 off $200.

At Target specifically, a Target redCard allows you to purchase Disney Gift Cards in the store or online with a 5% discount.  Target also has different Target Cricle deals where you can score even higher savings!

If you are seeing deals for other websites, please research first and read reviews.

How do I use the gift cards to pay for my vacation?

You can use Disney Gift Cards toward your vacation packages. Your travel planner will help you apply those cards to your balance.  This is a great way to realize additional savings on your vacation!  You can also use Disney Gift Cards when traveling to pay for most things at the Walt Disney World Resort including food, beverages, and souvenirs.

How do I get my travel agent my Disney Gift Cards?

There are a few best practices when using Disney Gift Cards to pay for your vacation.

Combine amounts

  • Funds should first be combined up to $1000 at DisneyGiftCard.com.
  • This website will store up to 5 cards at a time- you can delete cards – that is only deleting them from the site, and you are not deleting funds.
  • Please do not reload funds onto the same card after it has been “used.”
    • This creates a huge challenge for you if you are due a refund for any reason.
    • For instance, once you “use” a $1000 Gift Card, do not reload money onto it.

Staying organized

  • When you pay for a trip with a gift card, you will want to make sure that you hold onto your gift cards until after the trip.
    • Disney is only able to issue a refund to the original payment method, so a refund would have to go back onto the gift card if refunded for any reason.
    • If you’ve thrown out the gift card, that would make things a bit challenging.  You’ll want to make sure that you keep them someplace safe until the trip is over.
  • I suggest taking a sharpie and writing on the cards what the amounts are, and when they’ve been used, and if they have a balance.

 Sending Gift Card Information

  • Your travel agent will securely obtain your gift card information.
  • Please do not email all your gift card info.
