This afternoon, Disney Cruise Line announced that in 2010 the Disney Magic will travel overseas for five months, April through September. The new sailings will be avilable for booking on October 14, 2008 with dates for land/sea packages, which include a visit to Walt Disney World, available for booking later this fall.
Those interested in reserving any of the new 2010 itineraries can contact The Magic For Less Travel for a quote or inquire by email at info@themagicforless.com to have a new 2010 cruise reserved the minute it becomes available.
In addition to the Northern European itineraries, three new ports of call will be added to the Disney Magic's 2007 Mediterranean itineraries for a total of eight 10- and 11-night cruises. New ports added to the Mediterranean cruise itinerary are Tunis, in Northern Africa, the island nation of Malta, and Corsica--an island off the southern coast of France best known as the birthplace of Napoleon.
The four new 12-night Northern European Capitals itineraries will visit ports of call from Dover, England to St. Petersburg, Russia. In Oslo, kids will have the opportunity to go ashore and learn about the Vikings. There may even be a visit with Captain Jack Sparrow once back aboard ship. In Germany, guests may get the opportunity to visit the shipyard and see one of the new 22,000-ton Disney Cruise Line ships slated to sail in 2011 and 2012 in the final phases of it's construction. With an overnight stop scheduled in St. Petersburg, Russia and the opportunity to book a shore excursion to Moscow, this all sounds very exciting. The Northern European sailings will take place in June and July, sandwiched between the April and September Mediterranean sailings.
Disney Cruise Line will also offer two 14-night transatlantic repositioning voyages that will travel from it's home port at Port Canaveral in Florida to Barcelona, Spain and back.
The Disney Magic won't be the only Disney ship having changes made to last year's itineraries. The Disney Wonder will shift from 3- and 4-night cruises to 4- and 5-night cruises, visiting the usual ports at Nassau, Key West, and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
